Looking at a messy spreadsheet or a 500-page textbook that feels like it’s written in another language is enough to make anyone want to close their laptop and walk away.

When it comes to finance, most people treat it like a math problem to be solved, but I see it as a story to be told.

I am Merit, an accounting graduate and business student, who thinks finance or business doesn't have to be a headache. I am fascinated by the challenge and obsessed with everyone getting the clarity they need to make work and life easier.

You’re probably wondering...

I’m an accountant and a business student who likes numbers but dislike seeing people stressed by them, so I handle the technical side, from fixing your financial reports, finding out where your money is going, to cleaning up Excel sheets. Since I also do design, I don't just give you a spreadsheet; I build the pitch decks or reports you need for meetings. I also spend a lot of time teaching, so if you're a student, I help you get through your accounting and business modules without the stress. 

Because even if I give a perfect Balance Sheet, if no one understands the story behind the numbers, it would not drive home the message. I tell stories because that’s how we humans learn. If I can explain a complex tax law like a story about two traders in Onitsha market, then no one will ever forget it. Plus, if I can’t explain it simply, it means I don't really master it yet.

I’m graduated from the department of Accounting, Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in 2025 and I'm currently deep-diving into my foundational studies at University of the People. I’m not just waiting for a job; I’m building my mastery every single day.

Imagine having a bestie who is also a genius with a calculator. I bring a lot of light and ease into the room. I’m not the type of accountant who will just send you a cold email with an attachment; I’m the one who will check in on you, explain the "why" behind the figures, and make sure you feel totally relaxed about your business. Working with me means high-level precision mixed with a very sweet, "no-stress" vibe. You get the excellence, but you also get the smile.

I am currently looking for my next big challenge! I’m open to Remote or Hybrid roles, specifically Finance/Business Entry-level positions or Paid Internships where I can hit the ground running. And yes! I'm also open to tutoring. I love helping fellow students or business owners who feel stuck. If a topic feels like "big grammar," I’m the one to break it down until it clicks. There’s no better feeling than seeing someone finally "get it." I believe knowledge is only valuable when it’s shared, so if you’re struggling with a concept, I’m here to help you master it.

For me, it’s all about the clarity. There’s a special kind of joy in helping someone solve a problem that was keeping them up at night. I love that I can use my skills to make life and work easier for others. But the real "secret sauce" is that finance lets me blend all my favorite things: my curiosity for analytics, my love for clean design, and my passion for teaching and storytelling. I’m not just balancing the books; I’m designing a clear path for people to succeed.
